I'm sorry I've been away so long! I've been crazy busy, and I apologize for neglecting you.

Now, I would STILL like to do some sort of contest for an ID, and I'm going to figure out how to go about it, when, what the prize should be, etc., as soon as I can.

Please please please, let me know any ideas for the contest. Right now all I can come up with is that the ID must include the name "daQuilters" or "daQ", and must be relevant to the club-- i.e., include quilting, a quilt, sewing machines, needles, thread, etc. Once I get some more ideas in, I will make up a list of official criteria, and post a new journal.

I'm also thinking that we could do a couple group projects. Perhaps make a group quilt with a block from each member, or each of us make a quilt for Project Linus (www.projectlinus.org), or something. Any ideas in that area?

Well, members! We're now almost 9 months old. My last journal update didn't get any responses but I would like everyone to know that I really do want an ID. Not an avatar, but an ID, for the deviant ID category! I don't have any ideas for prizes, so ideas for that would be lovely, too. I'd like to get this contest started up soon, and I'd like to have the ending be our 1 year anniversary on November 27th. Our last contest went wonderfully, everyone seems to love our avatar, and we're getting new members every week!

Also I'm interested in getting another admin on board. Kristen is pretty busy and I'm starting work and school soon, so anyone who wants to be an admin can send me an application with the following criteria:

Name, how long you've been quilting, why you love quilting and why you should be our newest admin!

Administrator responsibilities include keeping in touch with me, and Kirsten, helping us decide on ideas for contests, updating the club journal, and of course, accepting new members and posting new deviations. Anyone who's interested is welcome to apply!!
